It is characteristic of Mediation that the process is short and snappy, consisting of three talks on an average.

In the first session the procedures will be agreed upon and there will also be an opportunity for both parties to throw their light on the conflict.

After that it is figured out and made clear what both parties consider to be important. In doing so Mediation works in accordance with the transformative mediation approach; this implies that people are (encouraged and) helped to speak, listen and acquire a better understanding of the situation and of each other, starting from their own visions and values.

The next step will be working out as many high-quality options for solutions as possible.

Finally the agreements made will be recorded.
